Year 6 Fund
Raisers…Year 6 are hoping to raise funds by filling the maze
with coins. If you have any pots of spare change please send them in! They are
also organising an after school ice lolly stand each Friday until the end of
term. 50p per lolly.
Olympic Tickets…As we
have been participating in the ‘Get Set for 2012’ promotion and following a
successful written application by the School Council, we are fortunate to have
been provided with a number tickets for Olympic football events. We have three
tickets for the men’s football, which we will present to the Year 6 child who
achieves the most points for their house during Sports Day. We are also
expecting to receive an allocation of tickets for the women’s football events.
These will be allocated to one child from each year group from Nursery to Year
6 with the names being drawn from a hat. Each lucky child will receive two
tickets.
Crickhowell
High School Basketball Club… The High School is running a basketball club for
Year 7 and 8 pupils which is now being offered to children in Year 6 as well. It
takes place from 3:45pm to 5pm and is open to boys and girls. It is led by
Cameron Sealey who runs Crickhowell Bulldogs Basketball Club. The club is free
to attend; children simply have to turn up to the high school sports hall any
time after 3:45pm. More information from James Ralph at the High School.
