Literacy Buddy Session

Each half-term we hold a 'buddies' session with older pupils working with younger ones to develop their literacy or numeracy skills. This week it was the turn of literacy.

Children from Year 6 worked with Year 2 on acrostic poems on the theme of buddies!

Year 5 worked with Year 1 on the iPads to create mini plays using the Puppet Pals app.

Enrichment Music Sessions

This year we have arranged and hosted More Able Enrichment Sessions for our cluster. So far Year 4 have worked with Mrs Williams developing their creative writing and Year 5 have completed a textiles project with Mrs Wilkie and link governor, Liz Jenkins.
The most recent has been music with Mrs Kath Davies. Out Year 6 musicians worked with Mrs Davies over a few weeks having the opportunity to work as a group. Each had to listen carefully and stay together. They performed Pachelbel Canon for parents, staff and governors. Well done to all involved in the sessions so far.
We look forward to the remaining workshops this year, including Gymnastics and Maths.
