Newsletter for 5th September

This Week’s Diary: Children return to school on Monday 5th September - no extra events or clubs this week
School Dinners this Week (Please note that the cost of school dinners is now £2)

Wednesday – Chicken Curry
Year 1 and 2 Educational Visit…Advanced notice that Year 1 and 2 will be taking part in an educational visit to St. Fagans on 13th September. Details of timings and cost will be with you in September.
Year 6 Leavers…organised a fantastic leavers’ assembly with help from Miss Jones. Many parents have asked for copies of the photos that were used in the PowerPoint. If you would like a copy please send a blank memory stick to school in September and we will arrange it.
Nursery/Reception ‘Big Toddle’ for Barnardos…raised a magnificent total of £163. Thank you to all who assisted or sponsored the children
SportStars… will be running as usual this summer from 8.45am to 3.30pm – see flyer for dates.  More information and booking by calling 0845 2413682.
Summer Fun Factory… will also be running in the school in the canteen and infant area from 1st August for 4 weeks from 8.30am to 3pm for children from 2 to 10 years. Judo Classes…will commence in school on Friday 16th September and take place each week. There will be two sessions offered: 4pm to 5pm and 5pm to 6pm. More information from Phillip Jones (telephone number available from the school)  The group currently organise the sessions that take place at Brecon Leisure Centre on Saturdays from 11am to 12 Noon. Parents and children are welcome to visit to see what a lesson looks like.

Into the Bloggersphere...!

We have started this blog as a way to improve the school's web presence. It should be easier to maintain and keep current than our school website - which is very time consuming to update and hence almost always a couple of months behind the times!

Newsletters and other articles will appear here as well as photos of the latest things that the children have been doing.
