Sports Kit…Please can parents
ensure that all netball, football and rugby kit is returned to school before
the end of term.
Piano Lessons…Mrs Angel has a few
spaces available for piano lessons for children from Year 2 onwards. She covers
all aspects of music in an integrated approach which is both fun and
productive. More information from Ros Angel on 01874 690131.
Guitar Lessons…Mr Huw Chidgey will
be offering guitar lessons from September for children in years 5 and 6.
Lessons will last 15 minutes and take place on a Thursday. Children will need
their own guitars. Six places available. More information from Huw on 01685
886855.
Foundation Phase Reading Books…please can all
infant reading books be returned to school on Monday to enable staff to carry
out an audit.
News from the Friends… We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came
along to the fete last Saturday. We had a successful and for the most part dry
day. Thanks especially to those who helped with stalls, setting up and packing
away. Also, thank you to all the local businesses and families who donated
items. The great news is that we raised £1148 for the benefit of the children. The
friends have also managed to secure additional funding of £1400 for ‘Space 2
Grow’ from Environment Wales. This is part of our 3 year project to improve the
school grounds.
Finally, the Green Man festival
has offered the Friends a stall at this year’s festival. The stall will offer
an interactive animation experience for families. We will need volunteers to
man this stall - tickets are limited. If you are interested contact Gareth
Axford or Heidi Purnell before the end of term.
